Xavier High School Traineeship Opportunity

Xavier High School Albury, in partnership with Kestrel Apprentice Solutions, is offering an exciting new opportunity for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in Business Administration,  with a focus on technological innovation.  The successful candidate will undertake a combination of  paid employment and structured training, on site at Xavier, and receive a Nationally accredited Certificate III qualification in Business Administration and/or IT upon successful completion.

Reporting to the Administration Support Manager and the IT Manager the purpose of this role will be to support the function of the Resource Centre at Xavier, as part of a dynamic team, whilst providing generalist support to the staff and students of Xavier High School.

This position may ideally suit a 2018 Year 12 student seeking to establish a rewarding career in Catholic education.  The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for all things IT, be highly responsible and self-motivated, and possess excellent communication skills.

You will have demonstrated your excellent organisational skills through your educational, employment or other endeavours and have the ability to work cohesively in a positive team environment.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing general administrative support;
  • Assisting with the preparation and delivery of IT Services, Programs and Resources
  • Liaising with staff about resources and borrowing services
  • Responding to staff and student needs in relation to IT and loaning of resources
  • Assisting with the after school care program
