Based in Albury, our client a family owned and run Dental Surgery are looking to employ a motivated and proactive individual to complete a Traineeship in Dental Assisting to join their close-knit team. Be mentored under a great team of professional who a passionate about their industry.


About the role

The successful candidate will be trained to prepare for and assist with oral health care procedures, comply with infection control policies and procedures, assist with dental radiography, equipment sterilisation and administration procedures. 

Your duties will include:

  • Prepare for and assist with oral health care procedures
  • Comply with infection control policies and procedures
  • Assist with dental radiography and equipment sterilisation
  • Greeting patients at reception
  • Preparing dental rooms
  • Processing payments and scheduling appointments


About you 

The person we seek will have a bright a friendly disposition, a genuine interest in establishing a career in the area of dental health, and the ability to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation and OH&S. You will need to be comfortable working alongside the dentists while they are performing procedures. You will require sound organisational skills and a high level of motivation to successfully complete the practical and theory based components of your traineeship.

You will require strong communication skills, along with the ability to relate to people of all ages. You will also require basic computer skills to enable you to effectively undertake the administration related duties of this role. You will need to possess a high level of motivation to successfully complete the practical and theory based components of your Traineeship.


Training Requirements

As part of this Traineeship, you will undertake Certificate III in Dental Assisting.  A commitment to completing on and off the job training requirements of a Traineeship is necessary.


What you will be provided

Throughout the duration of this Traineeship, you will be provided with ongoing support by your Consultant at Kestrel which will include career advice, pay enquiries, performance appraisals, etc.  


This is an entry level position and applicable award wages will apply.
