Kestrel Recruitment is a local Recruitment and Group Training Organisation specialising in placing candidates with our clients across North East Victoria and Southern NSW within both the white and blue collar sectors.

Our client is a small family run retail store based in the Albury Wodonga area. They are seeking to employ an experienced Payroll / Finance Officer to join their team on a fulltime basis.


About the role

This role is diverse and will see you performing various duties throughout your day within the payroll / Finance Department. You will have an eye for detail and be able to work within a close-knit team environment.

Your duties will include:

  • Processing weekly payroll & answering payroll questions
  • Accounts (Payable and Receivable, BAS, Invoicing)
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Maintaining & Reconciling supplier’s accounts
  • Data entry
  • Assist with supporting the sales team administration
  • Other ad hoc duties


About you

Our ideal candidate will be a friendly individual who is a hard-working team member. You will have experience in Payroll and finance. Knowledge of HR would be advantageous.

Skills required:

  • Previous experience in payroll (Quickbooks preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook
  • Trustworthy with attention to detail
  • Well organised and well presented
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team and to learn quickly
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to deal with a busy workload
  • An ability to follow instructions and proactively take initiative where required
  • Honesty, reliability with a strong sense of responsibility
